Baby Slings - Pouch Slings

Pouch Slings, also called ‘tube’ or ‘pocket’ slings, are a very simple and effective sling design, formed by a length of wide fabric sewn into a tubular shape. The wearer slips the pouch over the head and one shoulder, like a sash, and the baby is placed in the pocket formed.

This baby sling needs to be made out of a fabric with a high degree of rigidity, such as cotton, linen, or silk, because of the way it is structured. A simple line sewed into the seat of the pouch will make the sling more fitted and secure for the baby.
